Fuente Fuente OpusX The Lost City

In 2004, Andy Garcia began filming The Lost City (www.theLostCitytheMovie.com) and wanted to shoot one of the most memorable scenes of his movie at Chateau de la Fuente in July.  Unfortunately, there was no tobacco plants gowning at Chateau de la Fuente during that time because the tobacco plants are usually harvested in March.

In order to help Andy Garcia, Carlito Fuente planted tobacco at Chateau de la Fuente during summer time so that Andy could film The Lost City.  Read the full article of THE STORY ABOUT FUENTE FUENTE OPUSX THE LOST CITY

After the movie was shot at Chateau de la Fuente, the tobacco plants were harvested and had been aged.  Carlito Fuente created very special cigars from these 5-year old tobaccos: Fuente Fuente OpusX The Lost City.  All cigars made with the tobaccos planted for The Lost City were released with the special FFOX The Lost City black bands.

In addition, Carlito Fuente released two rare aged FFOX the Lost City cigars in a tribute to Andy Garcia and the Lost City movie: Fuente Fuente OpusX The Lost City Lancero and Love Affair. These two cigars were released with the special FFOX The Lost City red bands.

Carlito Fuente released FFOX the Lost City cigars in very small quantities for special occasions. In the fall of 2009, a larger quantities of Fuente Fuente OpusX The Lost City cigars were released worldwide.

At the wish of Andy Garcia, a portion of the sales proceeds was donated to The Lost City Scholarship Fund, which help the graduates of Cigar Family High School in Dominican Republic attend colleges.

The Lost City Movie

Andy Garcia starred and directed The Lost City.

"Set in 1950s Havana as Fidel Castro is seizing hold of Cuba, the film uses an epic backdrop to tell the intimate story of the Fellove family: tolerant club owner Fico (Garcia) and his more politically charged brothers, Luis (Nestor Carbonell) and Ricardo (Enrique Murciano). The film is a lush, gorgeous love letter to Garcia's homeland and a major accomplishment for any filmmaker, let alone a first-time feature director working with a budget of less than $10 million."  Jenelle Riley, Back Stage (www.backstage.com)
